Recognising personal strengths, allowing individuals to develop their full potential, and promoting them in all phases of their career
The Institutional Strategy contains targeted funding instruments for every phase of an academic career – from pupils interested in studying at HU, right up to the role of Senior Advisors. Because obstacles are often encountered at the transition between phases, e.g. in the post-doc phase, HU offers particularly extensive funding for these periods. The Phase Model is also open to the non-academic world, since it offers opportunities for entry and re-entry, and qualifications for interesting professions outside academia.
The Caroline von Humboldt Programme for Gender Equality is designed in the same way as the HU Phase Model and also offers phasespecific funding: from getting schoolgirls interested in science to supporting outstanding female researchers, who can act as role models for young scientists and scholars.
