Graduate Schools
Graduate Schools provide structured PhD programmes that use targeted measures, such as binding supervision agreements, to support students and create outstanding conditions for doctoral study. They are based on innovative scientific questions and offer interdisciplinary qualifications. A single Graduate School can receive funding of around €1 to €2.5 million per year. Integrating young researchers into Graduate Schools also helps them to identify more with their university.
